Ireland October 2015

VW Golf GTE Lands Edition

The highly seasonable Irish EV market continues to grow steadily (It is now at 0,43% Share vs 0,27% last year), and with YTD sales already doubling the result achieved last year, it seems that EV's will continue to reach new heights in the near future, will we see Ireland reach 1% share next year?.

This EV market continues to be Nissan Leaf turf, as the 401 units YTD and 70% share demonstrate, but last month a new competitor landed, and it might make a dent in the japanese model rule, the Volkswagen Golf GTE has finally landed, selling four units and becoming the second best selling model last month, true, the numbers are not that significant, but let's wait for January and see if the VW plug-in model can make itself noticed.

As for others, the numbers continue rather small, with the Top Four models being the same as last year and the only real interest is to see if the BMW i3 can surpass the Renault Zoe in the race for #3.
